Founded in 1870, the Ohio State University is a top research university,
and one of the largest universities in the nation. In 2007, Ohio State
ranks 7th nationally among all public universities and 11th among all
universities in research expenditure. It ranks second for industrial
sponsored research in the nation.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has excelled in both
research and education since 1968. Ranked among the top computer science
and engineering departments among US public institutions by the National
Research Council and by U.S. News & World Report, the department provides
an outstanding educational experience to 900 undergraduate and 170 graduate
students from across the globe. We strive to achieve the excellence in both
education and research.
